Brief portrait
FUMO® Solutions GmbH was jointly founded by Jürgen Leonhardt and Florian Janz in 2015. The company primarily focuses on the development and marketing of the FUMO® Compliance Management System, initially released as a software solution for fleet monitoring in 2008.
In early 2017, FUMO® Solutions GmbH was acquired by Springer Fachmedien München GmbH; at the same time, the janz akademie business area RECHTSSICHERE LOGISTIK (Legally Compliant Logistics), together with its products “Fuhrpark Check,” “Verlader Check” and “4PL Check”, were integrated into FUMO® Solutions GmbH. The respective checks were subsequently renamed, and are now offered as FUMO® Compliant Carrier, FUMO® Compliant Shipper and FUMO® Compliant 4PL. In addition to on-site audits and accompanying certification, all checks are also offered as internal audits using the FUMO® Auditor.
Florian Janz, one of the two CEOs of FUMO® Solutions GmbH, is responsible for content and marketing. The certified forwarding merchant and freight forwarding specialist previously founded e.g. the professional association GREEN LOGISTICS WORLD, where he serves as Chairman. The multi-talent is also founder of the training provider janz akademie.
Jürgen Leonhardt, one of the two CEOs of FUMO® Solutions GmbH, is responsible for the seamless operation of the online platform and oversees the continuing development of the software. A certified engineer, he has developed not only FUMO®, but also numerous other online platforms and internet-based services in the course of the past 20 years.
